  First time visitor, cannot believe its been here for over 14 years.  Met the energetic and effervescent owner, Miss Dianne. She treated us like we were family friends from outta town..... love that warmth.
  Offered the special of the day a Texas Scramble. Her homemade chili over scrambled eggs topped with cheese and diced onions.
  Served with texas toast And pan fried taters. Just like my momma used to make. This type of restaurant is fading away, and it is refreshing to be able to experiece it.
  Food was awesome. Thanks for a great breakfast Miss Dianne

  I'm sorry to review this place as a 2 star restaurant. I was really looking forward to my day out adventure in Roseburg Oregon and to have some delicious food. It's a small mom and pop style diner. They were so friendly but that actually caused them to be very very slow in assisting me. The food was good not fabulous. It took a long time to get a menu because the waitress was talking to another table for over five minutes. Although I wasn't in a hurry that morning I really was hungry and wanted someone to start my order. I don't think I would go back on my own but if I was with a friend who wanted to go I would definitely give it another try.

  I'm waiting to do TSA pre-Check down the road so I thought I'd stop and eat.   This has got to be one of the best breakfasts I have had in along time.   Don't let the outside fool you, I wasn't sure if it really was open to the public but I'm so glad I gambled.  The potatoes were amazing and look how thick the sourdough toast is plus it really had butter on it that was spread!!!   Chicken fried steak and gravy had great flavor.   I will come back next time I come south again

  If you're traveling through like we were this is a great place to go! Veggie omelette was good and had lots of avocado. French toast was tasty and light. Bacon was perfect crispy like I asked for. Biscuits and gravy special was also tasty. The biscuit was fresh. The coffee is light but there are cafes you can grab espresso from nearby. Oh, and the potatoes were excellent. I never eat the side potatoes in Seattle because they're too overbearing with bland potato-ness. I ate all of these side potatoes. The English muffin actually had enough butter! Places rarely put enough butter on them.

  I am really torn about this review. I WANTED to love this place. From the moment I arrived and Dianne greeted me at the door, I felt welcomed and comfortable. The regulars who dined around me were colorful salt of the earth folks who talked loud, laughed hard, and told their stories to a complete stranger (me). It was like having a meal with friends.
  Unfortunately the food was just mediocre at best.
  I stopped in on a Sunday morning and discovered that they have a buffet on Sunday mornings, so I went with it. While it was a step above Elmer's / Denny's, it was not anything like a homemade meal. The biscuits were decent, but a bit dry and firm. The gravy had absolutely no flavor (which is pretty normal, really). The scrambled eggs with ham were ok, but the bacon was over cooked and too crispy for my taste. The coffee was Alan Bros, so a small step above Folgers- not enough to warrant a 2nd cup. The potatoes were definitely the star of the show, but they definitely need seasoning.
  This is about as good as it gets in Roseburg from what I heard, and that is not surprising. After 3 days here on business I have yet to get a decent meal that was not from a chain restaurant like Red Robin.
  Definitely missing home about now.
